The Coil, and Why Salt Kills It Quietly

A refrigerator does not make cold. It moves heat out of the insulated box and rejects it into the air through a condenser coil, and how well it does that decides everything about how hard the compressor has to work.

Coils are built the same way across the industry: thin aluminium fins mechanically bonded onto copper tubes.
