Neighborville repairs refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens and ranges, dishwashers, cooktops, freezers, ice makers and microwaves, in the home, usually in a single visit. The diagnostic is $99 and is waived when you approve the repair, every job carries a 90-day parts-and-labour warranty, and we work ten metro areas across Florida, Texas, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Florida and general (863) 474-2970, Texas (281) 205-1474.
Most people arrive here knowing the symptom and not the part. That is the normal way round, and it is fine: the point of a diagnostic visit is that you are not expected to guess. What follows is the honest version of how this works, what the money goes on, and which page on this site is written for your specific machine.
Each appliance has its own page, because the failure lists genuinely differ. A refrigerator that stops cooling is nearly always airflow, defrost or the sealed system. A washer that will not drain is nearly always the pump or a blockage in front of it. Those are not the same job, the same part stock, or the same price.
| Appliance | What we see most | Typical published range, parts and labour |
|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator repair | Not cooling, icing up, water on the floor, running constantly, noise from the back | $150 to $320 for a single part, sealed-system work higher |
| Washer repair | Will not drain, will not spin, leaking, walking across the floor, error code | $130 to $320 |
| Dryer repair | No heat, damp clothes after a full cycle, noise, will not start | $110 to $220 |
| Oven and range repair | Will not heat, temperature off, burner will not light, touchpad dead | $130 to $260 |
| Dishwasher repair | Not draining, not cleaning, leaking at the door, will not start | $120 to $250 |
| Cooktop repair | One burner dead, cracked glass surface, induction element out, constant clicking | $90 to $360 depending on surface type |
| Freezer repair | Not freezing, frost building up, running without stopping | $130 to $320 |
| Microwave repair | Runs but food stays cold, sparking inside, dead touchpad | Built-in and over-the-range only, see the page |
The ranges above are the ones published on our city pages, and they are for parts and labour on a single named repair. The $99 diagnostic sits outside them and comes off the bill when you approve the work. Exact numbers by appliance are kept up to date on the cost pages: refrigerator, washer, dryer and dishwasher.
This is the table we would talk you through on the phone. It will not replace a diagnostic, and it is not a repair guide, but it tells you which of these is a cheap fix and which is a serious one before anybody quotes you.
| What you notice | Usual suspects, cheapest first | Read more |
|---|---|---|
| Fridge warm, freezer still cold | Blocked evaporator airflow, failed evaporator fan, defrost fault | Refrigerator repair |
| Water pooling under the fridge | Blocked defrost drain, split water line, door seal letting warm air in | Fridge noise and airflow |
| Washer full of water at the end of the cycle | Coin or sock in the pump filter, blocked drain hose, failed drain pump | Why a washer will not drain |
| Washer drains but drum will not turn | Lid switch or door lock, drive belt, motor control board | Washer will not spin |
| Dryer runs a full cycle, clothes still damp | Restricted vent run, lint blockage, then heating element or thermostat | Dryer repair |
| Oven never reaches the set temperature | Bake element or igniter, temperature sensor, then control board | Oven will not reach temperature |
| Dishes come out gritty or cloudy | Spray arm blocked, filter not cleaned, hard water scale, then circulation motor | Dishwasher not cleaning |
| Ice maker stopped making ice | Frozen fill tube, water inlet valve, then the ice maker module | Ice maker not making ice |
| Disposal hums but will not turn | Jammed flywheel, then the motor is done | Garbage disposal not working |
Two of those you can check yourself in five minutes and save a call: the pump filter on a washer that will not drain, and the vent run behind a dryer that will not dry. We say so because a technician arriving to pull a sock out of a filter is a bad outcome for both of us.
A diagnostic is not a look and a shrug. The technician tests the circuit that is failing, identifies the part, and gives you a written price for that repair before touching anything. If you approve it, the $99 comes off the total, so the diagnostic is effectively free on any job that goes ahead. If you decline, you pay the $99 and you keep the diagnosis, which is worth having, because the next person you call does not have to start from nothing.
Van stock matters more than most people expect. Pumps, belts, valves, elements, igniters, thermostats, lid switches and door locks are the parts that fail most often, and they ride on the truck, which is why the majority of jobs finish on the first visit. Control boards and sealed-system parts are model-specific, so those are ordered, and we tell you the wait before you commit rather than after.
Sometimes it is. A compressor on a ten-year-old fridge, a drum bearing on a budget washer, or a cracked tub is the point where the arithmetic turns against the repair, and we will say so on the spot instead of quoting it. If you want to run the numbers before we arrive, use the repair-vs-replace calculator or the cost comparison, and check the machine against the appliance lifespan database. If you are choosing a replacement, the brand reliability data and failure rates by brand are worth ten minutes.
Every repair carries a 90-day parts-and-labour warranty. If the same fault comes back inside that window, we return and there is no second charge. We work on all major brands, including Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, Bosch, Frigidaire, Maytag, KitchenAid, Electrolux and Kenmore, and on the premium built-in lines where the diagnosis is genuinely different: Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador and Miele.
Being straight about the edges saves everyone a wasted visit. We do not repair countertop microwaves, because a service call costs more than the appliance is worth, and we do not do appliance installation as a standalone job or work on units that have been through flood water, where the safe answer is replacement rather than a repair.
